Connor Smith

With a background in traditional 2D art, used primarily on my interest in the creation of unusual and alien worlds and characters, I have since spent the majority of my time at university with digital drawing – utilizing Adobe Photoshop in the visualization of multiple narratives and ideas (originality being a key focus in my work). I find character creation the most interesting and would consider it my specialty, though consider myself fully capable with other areas such as environment and prop design.

Despite specializing in 2D, I am comfortable in other areas of creation. In the time spent at NUA I have become competent in the use of Autodesk Maya (with plans of branching into Substance Painter) Adobe Animate and Unreal Engine – all of which have been utilized on multiple occasions working as part of a group in the creation of playable game demos.
