Norwich based, John is a games designer specialising in conceptual 2D and 3D arts as well as asset production and PBR textures and materials. He is proficient with Autodesk Maya and Mudbox, Unity 5, Unreal Engine 4, Substance Designer, Substance Painter and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere. Before diving into his passion for games he worked professionally as a freelance graphics designer along-side, and as part of his education. Amongst many others, his most notable clients include Norfolk County Council, and Norwich Fashion Week. He has delivered a number of demonstrations including lectures in the fields of SFX and games design as an ambassador for Norwich University of the Arts.
Problem solving has become second nature to John. Every new project presents the possibility of new methods and tools. Even to the extent that he, as an artist, is now comfortable with object based coding in C#, something widely understood to baffle even the most seasoned of creative professionals; Though it is a necessary trait in order to try out new ideas for game mechanics and push the way that games are played forward
