I first came to NUA looking to become a 2D character artist, but I’ve come to realise that as much as I love that, I wouldn’t be truly suited to it full-time. Instead, I found myself drawn towards Indie Dev, and towards technical art, as ways of showcasing and making use of the range of skills and interests that I have. I’ve worked in a variety of projects, both in groups and on my own, and both as part of university projects and personal, ‘just for fun’ things. Having had this opportunity to try out, experiment and discover has been hugely useful to me, and I’ve enjoyed my time here greatly.
For the future, I and a group of fellow graduates are planning on setting up an Indie studio together. I hope that I will have many more opportunities to learn and develop along the way.
