Before attending NUA, I was unsure of which course to study. Originally, I wanted to take BA (Hons) Animation. However, learning that there’s a course for Games Art & Design, I couldn’t help but to try and it surely didn’t disappoint. During the first year of my degree, I had the intention of becoming a Concept artist/illustrator and with the help of all the tutors they gave me the confidence to achieve my goal.
For the last two years, I’ve focused on projects that allowed me to work on my craft. As being interested in character and environment design, those projects allowed me to explore different styles, which was stressful but proud that I got the opportunity to do so.
Even though, I have a lot more to learn and improve after university, I’m very proud of what I’ve achieved for the last 3 years. I couldn’t be more thankful and grateful to all the tutors that helped me throughout this journey. Hopefully, after a few more improvements with my portfolio I’ll land a job in the industry, whether that is in Games, film or animation, I will take what I’ve learned with me in my career.
